Tonight on the History Channel: The Colonial Lockout

Happy Fourth, everyone! Stay safe and constitutional!

Oh, and here's something for our Canadian/non-patriot readers to talk about:
In return for the 31 year old veteran defenseman (Dan Boyle), its believed Tampa will receive a package that will include 23 old defenseman Matt Carle, a 1st round pick, a prospect and a 4th round pick.

Sources say defenseman Brad Lukowich is also part of the deal going to San Jose.

Looks like the trade went through, the prospect is Ty Wishart. Thank God, now the Sharks will suck in a few years when the Kings are good.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night. Wishart isn't even the best defensive prospect- that would be Nick Petrecki.

If you guys can take a dive this season and get Tavares, it's a whole new ballgame.

I think people assume that because they kings have signed no one and only traded for Gauthier, Stoll, and Greene that we are gonna suck balls next year but it would be almost impossible for us to be any worse than last year. We have excised Dallman, Thorton, and BRIAN FUCKING WILLSIE. We will most likely have a coach that cares and isn't going through the motions. We won't have Dan fucking Cloutier play a game, or JS Aubin (who is still trying to get back into position after diving after a slapshot from the point back in January). Granted no Lubo is going to hurt our power play, but he had an off year last year anyway (hey edmonton, play him on his off side!), and Johnson is ready for PP1 time, and Stoll can play point. Maybe Harrold will contribute, or Daughty. We'll have players who are trying to prove they belong, and everyone in the league (including many of their own fans) thinking the only thing they are playing for is Tavares. So basically, we'll have motivation. And that is more than I can say for last season.

P.S. Ben Franklin wore mittens? (j/k, I know hands are hard)

This is the part that cracks me up.

Still, you're right. There's still a lot of unpredictability to this year's Kings. Heck, I might go L.A. heavy in my fantasy drafting.

P.S. Ben Franklin wore mittens?

He's in the process of inventing them. :)

ya, a purcell, boyle, johnson, or ersberg might be a good pick up in the last few rounds.

Oh crap, this means that the Ducks are going to need to go get a player named Boyle, since that whole Battle of the Thorntons thing seems to have been abandoned.

Damn, Earl, Vish just went to town on your boy Burkie.
