I'll probably provide an updated look at this before March, the next divisional play month.
Anyways, the top two teams in this Pacific battle go at it tonight, with Modano destined to set some sort of history tonight. Then later this week the Ducks can also allow JR's 500th goal, and heck, maybe they'll make SportsCenter. Prediction: Ducks 4, Stars 2. Goals by Perry, Marchant, Pahlsson, and McDonald.
Go Ducks.

We're .500 against Phoenix? That's depressing...
Yeah, the other thing that kinds of stands out here is that the Kings have been making everyone's power play look good--a fairly obvious area for improvement.
Also, I just thought it was kind of interesting to see how OT points skew things, where the Ducks are 10-4-4 against the Kings but the Kings are 8-7-3 against the Ducks, and other such cases.
Our penalty kill has pretty much sucked since Dave Tippett left to coach the Dallas Stars. How long ago was that?!
Well, I think the Kings' stats show a combination of bad penalty killing and bad goaltending, and it's tough to figure how much to blame on each. I think, though, that the goaltending's been a lot more stable in L.A. this year, and the Kings should see a natural boost in PK and in winning because of it.
Wasn't Tippett in charge of our power play? I thought Mark Hardy was the penalty kill coach. I could be wrong though.
Our GM's have had a habit of making bad goaltending decisions. Anyone remember Roman Chechmanek? The Huet for Garon trade?? DAN CLOUTIER???
Man, watching a team just completely give up is neat.
I'm usually up for watching the Ducks take a good ass kickin, but even I got bored.
Not me. Not bored at all.
why o why is mark mowers even on the team let alone anything above the 4th line
and RC also thinks hey we had line that produces 5 goals against phoenix but hey lets change them up so we can suck again...
maybe its his master plan..maybe he think scotty nieds will only come back if we suck i dunno..
were back to garbage earl...very thrilling..i cant remember even hitting a post or getting close to scoring a goal..
