Ducks Gameday—If Reebok made a movie...

Anaheim Ducks (4-4-1, 3rd in west) at Dallas Stars (3-2-2, t-4th in west)

I'd write something about the Stars, but (a) it's Saturday, who wants to read?, and (b) I'll have a much better feel for that team sometime in our next seven matchups. Thankfully for the Ducks it's been an awfully slow-starting west; only three western teams are more than one game over .500 (MIN, DET, STL). Anyway, you can go read Andrew's Page, Patty's page, or Razor's page to see what's going on in the Hold 'em State.

Instead, I'll just say what everyone is thinking: what is up with the Stars' home uniform—writing out the city name but omitting the team logo?

Oh wait a second. A stupid movie? Replacing a logo with text? I guess I should look in the NHL mirror.

Prediction: Ducks 5, Stars 3. Goals by Beauchemin, McDonald, Kunitz, Pahlsson, and the Duck who has improved his game the most this summer—George Parros.

Go Ducks.

Stars are deep in the hearts of the Texases on the sleeves, Earl.

I have to admit, when I just saw the top of the poster, I thought it was gonna be the Ducks...but I guess having Sammy and JS back makes you feel better?

And how'd you post-date this post, anyway?

Yeah, it could have been. Teemu and Scott scored 9 of the 21 goals the Ducks got against the Stars last year, including 5 of the 7 power play goals.

Blogger magic. I wanted to post it before going out. How'd you leave a comment in the future?

Earl, isn't there something you can do about Pronger? Maybe hand him something heavy to drop on his foot again? I hate that guy!

Stupid Stars. I don't like the Ducks at all, but I like the Stars a whole lot less. I guess that's what happens when you are a former North Stars fan.
