Oh, and speaking of taking-the-loss-too-hard, I was so pissed off by the 3 goals in 2 minutes last night that I went straight for the whiskey bottle.
Bottom line, for those who follow my postings carefully enough, there will be no new PuckToon at Fanhouse today. I'll get it together and pick it up again next week.
That's one of the few times I thought Giguere was awesome. Smyth tries to knock the goalie down when he shifts his feet by taking their foot out from under them. Plus he jams his stick into goalie's ribs when the puck isn't visible. I hate that guy.
Oh, and I think Giguere is just trying to emulate Patrick Roy.
rudykelly-I have heard him talk about how he hero worshipped Roy as a kid, and this is definitely Roy-like behaviour. Anaheim better watch out if that's true, because the next time they lose badly, they may find themselves without their goalie.

Giguere ducked! Get it?
That was hilarious.
Very nice. And probably overdue.
Well, at least Scott Niedermayer hustled his way back into the lineup the last time Minnesota beat the Ducks. Get it going, Teemu.
And fuck, get well, Pahlsson.
Rudykelly-wasn't it though?
What's with Giguere's random hissy fits? They're hilarious to a point, but at the same time, he's a grown man, not a three year old.
Giguere's not used to giving up more than one goal every four games to the Wild--it's quite an adjustment, I guess.

That doesn't surprise me coming from somebody who uses a bendy straw.
I'd offer my sympathies, Earl since the plight of this cartoon is really quite sad. But...nah.
Ha, I just noticed the faces hadn't changed. Minnesota looks awfully remorseful. Earl, I guess you're used to it and just want to get it over with.
Even our state is Minnesota nice.
Sherry-good point.
Earl Sleek-he also throws hissy fits when Ryan Smyth shoves his ass in his face. Clearly it's not just us.
Ask Rudy about Ryan Smyth. It's more than just J.S. Giguere for that guy.
Holmstrom might be a better example, but I'm sure he's annoying a lot of netminders these days.

I guess after going 1-8 against the Ducks in the playoffs, the Wild were due for a good regular season series.
u went for the whiskey earl i went for the remote...i clicked off..
I actually think the same facial expressions work, especially if you frame it in this non-PG kind of way:
Minnesota: "Fer cryin' in the mud, I forgot to pull out dontcha know?"
California: (I cannot believe I just got impregnated by this state)
