Megalodon said...: Semenov is a hulking waste of skates. When he's at his best, he's mediocre. When he's at his worst (as he usually is) he's a penalty-taking out-of-position monstrosity.

I've hated this guy all season, and I do NOT understand why Wilson puts him in the lineup, let alone on the ice in critical situations like this. I know the team has been playing better, but if Semenov keeps getting to play, Wilson should be fired.

Good game by Griess, although I was starting to get really excited about Nabokov playing the whole season. Anyone have any record of the last goalie to play 43 in a row?; 10:42 AM

Earl Sleek said...: I dunno--it seems to me that there are two pretty good teams at separating puck carriers from the puck--it's a tough setting for anybody to look particularly sharp.

Hell, probably Greiss doesn't give up the OT goal next time--he was probably still stunned by the Weight job. Tough to develop mental toughness without any playing time.; 11:31 AM
Bryan said...: No Pronger, Getzlaf, Perry, and Giguere all had very obvious bad games. Aside from the first goal by the Sharks, no goals were pretty. It was an ugly game.

And who are the idiots who start up the ref u suck chant all the time. I bet its some jack ass who wants to impress some friend or girl and says watch this, and starts the ref you suck chant on any penalty, knowing that other morons will join in.

And I tried to get into the 300 section to say hello but they wouldnt let me in without a ticket or wristband. As if I'd really want to watch a game from the 300 sections. 400s for life.; 11:38 AM

It is kind of silly, but probably because the Ducks get about twice as many penalties than their opponents, and, because they might have been 16-2 last year if not for refs.

That's the perception, anyway--argue with it if you want, but the perception creates the chant, true or not.; 7:01 PM
