Edmonton Burned Pronger's Baby?
Here's a very long, very detailed post by Greg Wyshynski about Chris Pronger's continuing feud with the people of Edmonton. I aggressively don't give a fuck about this, but I figured you people might get a kick out of it. Besides, an enemy of Chris Pronger is a friend of mine.

Hoo boy the Oil bloggers are going to have a field day with this one. The thing that always troubles me about that is it becomes a bit difficult to separate an Oilfan's hatred for Pronger's decision with his hatred for Pronger's trade return.
How much of the lingering Pronger-hate is a result of last year's tanked season?
Still, not that cool of Pronger to bring up old garbage now. That's like me smacking a guy for no reason, but then bragging about how I later found out he was an asshole.
Just from what I remember, the Oil fans were freaking out when they got wind of his decision, long before the trade was made.
No doubt it mattered back when it happened. I should clarify--it's tough to classify their hatred these days.
How much of the lingering Pronger-hate, now a year and a half later, is a result of last year's tanked season?
Ah. Okay.
I don't know about Oil fans, but my lingering hatred of him is based mainly on his personality.
Speaking of Pronger, his THN blog has really taken off, hasn't it?
It is what it is. Getzlaf had a blog at Maxim or something last year, and managed three posts in a season. It's not their gig.
Jesus, Pronger and Edmonton hate each other? Who the hell am I supposed to side with here? The man I've despised for years, or the team that is my most recent least-favorite?
Oh, and if anyone needs a hockey player blog with reasonable updates, read Marcel Goc's awesome one on the Sharks site, updated nearly every Tuesday! This week, he talked about the importance of naps!
For the record, I'm an Oiler fan, and I had a very hard time liking him even when he did play for the Oilers, so that's not quite it.
Disclaimer: This next part is just my personal perception. I do not claim to speak for any other fans besides myself.
Earl Sleek-I think we started out hating him for his decision, still hate him for his percieved "screwing us over" by both the decision and the trade we got. Another part to the screwing over of the Oilers is how loudly the Prongers complained about the city, thus hurting the Oiler's chances of attracting free agents. That will hurt the team far longer than the Lupul/FCP trade. A lot of people overlook that Pronger himself did not make that trade, but that doesn't matter since he's gone and we still have to deal with Klowe. That's not to say that people aren't pissed at Klowe too, but even more so at Pronger, probably to some extent because it's fun.
I'm not sure how much sense that rambling made, but there you have it.
i liked him even he wasnt here...he plays with an edge...sticks up for his teammates....plays that old time hockey....u want pre-madonnas go watch the NBA or get a feed into european hockey...u dont want an elbow in the face stay the fuck outta his way...scott stevens played the same way yet he wasnt as critized
