Honestly, can we all just admit that the Pacific is by far the best division in hockey? Honestly, it's not even close.

I don't think anyone could question the Pacific's dominance in the NHL right now. At least you can take some comfort in knowing you last in the toughest division in hockey. Be thankful you're not last in the Southeast.
I'll admit it... the Sens BLOW right now. It's getting really hard to quote their first half record while trying to defend their play the second half of this season.
That being said, at least we don't mistake a province (or state for that matter) for a city. I guess I'll chalk that up to the intelligence level of BoC'ers. ;-) (I'm an asshole, but I have to take what I can get. These are desperate times!)

At this point, I can only hope that the Western Conference rips itself to shreds in the playoffs before facing the Sens (haha, who am I kidding) in the finals.

I didn't watch last night's game, so I can't say this for sure, but there's one lesson I've learned in a few years of watching Corey Perry.
When he falls over and looks injured, he is definitely not injured. The times he does get injured, it's without his usual diving fanfare.
In the first round of the '06 playoffs was Perry's only other real injury, and that was from a hit by teammate Sammy Pahlsson.
I guess is that if there's any bright side, (a) Selanne can move with Getzlaf, which should be fun to watch, (b) B. Ryan gets another shot at the big leagues, and (c) the last time the Ducks played a playoff series without Perry, they swept Colorado.
Still, now you have to wonder: why was Burke so eager to unload Bochenski? Seems he could have been useful in this situation.
I'll let it slide because I am still really appreciative about the way the Finals went last year.
Plus, if the Mighty Ducks can win the Stanley Cup then any franchise can!

And which division had exactly one team worth a damn in both years. That's not a good argument, especially now that the SE has no teams worth a damn.

Bear in mind that I'm artificially unfazed by this Perry development, or the Ducks' recent 2-game suckage.
I guess I picked the right games to have viewing conflicts, or maybe it's just that the Ducks don't score goals if they know I'm not watching.

I wonder that too but it seems like there's something about Bochenski that just makes teams give up on him (maybe even a bit prematurely).
