BoC running way ahead of schedule
I guess a little update is in order.
Team | GP | W-L-O | Pts | GF | GA |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Anaheim | 18 | 13-1-4 | 30 | 3.33 | 2.05 |
San Jose | 18 | 13-5-0 | 26 | 3.22 | 2.17 |
Los Angeles | 19 | 5-10-4 | 14 | 2.47 | 3.21 |
Or, put another way, perhaps these teams are way behind schedule. The Ducks and Sharks had 6 losses each and the Kings had 6 wins all by October 25th last year.
Well, if the Sharks or Ducks want to learn a lesson, they might want to remember that the Kings last year through 18 games: 12-5-1, 25 points. Not that big a difference, considering the Kings ended up missing the playoffs by 6 points.
It’s a crazy state to cover, this California. Nobody sits still any more.

Those stats are crazy. It's funny what a difference there is from year to year. It's the same with the Flames, people were freaking and now look at them. Sheesh.
Ducks just made quite a shake-up, as I'm sure you know.
I don't know if I like the the deals, I think they could've gotten a better Chistov. But then again, Chistov's ship is sinking pretty quickly with his inability to crack the line-up this year.
Difficult to believe they also dealt a second round pick another tough guy, while trading their current tough guy for a fourth rounder. Then again, maybe fedoruk is out for a lot longer than expected, so they had to pull off a deal to get another tough guy quickly.
All told, it leaves the Ducks with $800,000 less in cap space, minus a second rounder, but plus a second and fourth rounder.
With the parros deal, they can also swap third round picks with the Avs if they so desire.

Sad to see fedoruk go, I always liked how he carried himself on the ice, how he only faught people that could fight him and how he didn't continue to pound a downed fighter.
Looks like it's a third round pick for chistov, whoops. Even more puzzling, though.
