Finally, everyone can shut the hell up
It's not Montreal. It's not Toronto. It's not Boston. Patrick Marleau's not going anywhere.
Part of me's relieved because I know that prior to last season, he'd been the Sharks most consistent playoff performer, plus he played injured. The other part of me's just relieved that the stupid rumors will finally, finally end.
[Update] Patrick Marleau and Doug Wilson conference call transcripts - Sharkspage.

Yeah, I was beginning to think that his full name was actually Patrick Marleau (e2).
Another good extension by the Sharks, who should be beatable by 2010 or something.
Nope, sorry, it's going to be a sign and trade. And in fact, the deal will amaze everyone when he gets traded not to TOR or MTL, but to BOTH teams and splits time (three games in MTL, three games in TOR, etc.).
Hot Stove! Hot Stove! Where will I be without that?! It's a lot more interesting than hearing about Bryan Berard's invitation to the Islanders' training camp.
Still, a great signing. I just hope the young D matures quickly, or there could be some very interesting final minutes of games this season.
I'm still convinced that Marleau doesn't know how to talk.
Rudy, he may be a Faulknerian Idiot Man Child, but he's our Faulknerian Idiot Man Child.
[With apologies to the Onion.]
"Cornpoe!"
Hope you don't mind if I added a link to the transcript Mike.
It might have been posted before, but Doug Wilson mentioned bringing in at least one veteran or free agent to compete for a roster spot, hopefully a defenseman.
