Ducks find motivation to win G6
Unfortunately, the tape ran out after two periods. Next stop: Anaheim.
(Oh, and congratulations, Oilers fans. I think Edmonton now get's Anaheim's 2008 first round pick, part of the Pronger trade.)
(Oh, and the last time the Ducks played the Senators? Jan. 19, 2006. Giguere over Hasek in a shootout. The Senators have not played in Anaheim since Oct. 17, 2003.)

Congrats, you quackers -- go California!
Congratulations, it was a good series. I'm bummed.
Yay now I don't know who to root for....
LOL I've been around the Ducks after they've showered. They smell plenty fine!
objectionable conduct, that's slightly disturbing, but also slightly objectionable, so I'll allow it.
What a shame...Does California even know what hockey is? Although I do not want Canada to win I' going to have to go with them. Real hockey and real hockey fans. Go neighbors to the north!
Does California even know what hockey is?
I love classy folk who wander on a blog called "Battle of California" and anonymously leave little love notes like this. I wonder which team of his the Ducks knocked out.
Feel better, bud.
Wait... I'm supposed to be writing about hockey? What the hell is that?
Interesting angle for the Ducks to take a team picture after the game..and then Needs doesn't even go near the Campbell Trophy. It's like a double whammy of superstition! haha
Anaheim had better shape up against Ottawa though. I really wasn't impressed with 98% of Game 5 and about 33.3333% of their Game 6 performance :)
They have to be better.
What a Finals it's going to be!
Earl, the fact that Pahlsson scored the winner must have had you jumpin'!
Anonymous ended his message because his mommy was calling him for bedtime! What a fool! Hey buddy, as a Canadian I don't want you cheering for any team from here! Go back to your online porn!
Earl - Where the Ducklings (Penner, Perry, Getzlaf, and heck we can toss in Shannon, Motzko and Carter) are concerned... all of my conduct is objectionable lol. ;)
Congrats to Ducks fans. I really feel the best 2 teams are in the finals.

Ditto. I'll have to do a breakdown
It's not all sour grapes from the D, cranky as we are this morning. To the Ducks I say, well played and good luck.
BTW, I discovered this site during the playoffs, I enjoyed reading a "left coast" perspective on things.
will winning the cup shut any of these whiney "real fans" up, or will the Ducks still be the black sheep of the nhl?
and ps, ever think of how good it would be for the sport if the california market develops? i realize hockey is about tradition... but maybe you'd like to see the nhl get a decent tv deal and more support?
there's only 12 plus million of us down here in socal. not like that could make a difference or anything.
Oh, and congratulations, Oilers fans. I think Edmonton now get's Anaheim's 2008 first round pick, part of the Pronger trade.
Yay?
It was a little weird to listen to ESPN radio over the weekend and hear that both hosts, the weather the traffic update guys were all at the last Ducks game. Nice of them to hop on board a game or two before the Stanley Cup Finals.
Well, it looks like Don Cherry was right. He was calling for an Anaheim and Ottawa final since the start of the season. Allegedly.
This should be an interesting couple of weeks.
b_washington let me know what you figure out...cuz I will need help.
While I am very disappointed in the Wings loss (cuz I think they're the better team)I am grudgingly acknowledging the Ducks hard work and talent. I will say they beat the bejesus out of the Wings for two periods last night! That was a dominating performance (of course the near tie in the third was a bit impressive as well...).
Anyway, after watching some of the Sens and Sabres series, I really don't think the Sens can handle Anaheim. They had a lot of room to play in against Buffalo. Detroit prolly conducted their practices during the series in a phone booth for effect. The Ducks will be all over the Alfredsson line like a cheap suit. It will be different from the treatment they got from Buffalo.
I hate to say this ...but Go Ducks!
