I've heckled Selanne more than I have Kariya. (Though if I had to pick one former Duck to sign, I've still got a VISHNEVSKI jersey that's collecting dust.)

Oh, and Rick, play nice now. Had he decided to seek his market value, I think he would have priced himself out of my comfort zone.

But yeah, enjoy it.Earl Sleekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15843720035500316419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-47146184530757304462007-06-21T21:51:00.000-07:002007-06-21T21:51:00.000-07:00omg!?!?!? how did they do this!?!?!? It really shows the impact that Patrick Roy had on the league and why he deserves the title of the NHL's best goaltender ever.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10467433390378879762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-67780836972176354442007-06-21T17:54:00.000-07:002007-06-21T17:54:00.000-07:00It'd be nice if the Ducks could pursue someone lik...It'd be nice if the Ducks could pursue someone like a Chris Drury (Earl, I think if Drury came, you wouldn't be able to decide who you would love more - Pahlsson or Drury).

Blasphemy. I know Drury's a favorite to many a hockey fan, but he's got two things that he's still got to overcome to earn my man-love:

1. Make me forget about Ted Drury.

2. Stop it with the little league already.

Frankly, I don't know who will be the one to ever take Pahlsson's place in my heart, but Drury is a real real real longshot.Earl Sleekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15843720035500316419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-79534518624474032422007-06-21T17:15:00.000-07:002007-06-21T17:15:00.000-07:00It's great that Jiggy has been signed. And for a ...It's great that Jiggy has been signed. And for a good term as well. I do think Bryzgalov is going to get traded because of the signing of that new Swiss Goaltender who is supposed to already be able to play backup in the NHL. The Ducks need a good defensemen as there is only a guarantee of two returning at this point (granted it's 2 of the top 3, but only 3). I think if Bryz could be traded for a number 4 (if Scotty retires) or 5 (if 27 stays) defensemen and probably a draft pick, I think the Ducks are in really good shape. I'd like to see Huskins resigned, as it really seemed in the playoffs that he really started to get more comfortable and started to actually do things with the puck. I see potential there for. He can definitely be a solid 4 or 5 D-man in the NHL. And for number 6, they could either resign DiPenta or let some of their youth come in. I think the forwards are in pretty good shape. It'd be nice if the Ducks could pursue someone like a Chris Drury (Earl, I think if Drury came, you wouldn't be able to decide who you would love more - Pahlsson or Drury). I think that only happens though if both 27 and 8 retire. If only one of them retires, well we better hope Bobby Ryan is NHL ready.Wooster11https://www.blogger.com/profile/01643921737937679399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-91209420510533847882007-06-21T16:29:00.000-07:002007-06-21T16:29:00.000-07:00Giguere is definitely a solid goalie in the NHL, n...Giguere is definitely a solid goalie in the NHL, not quite top 5, but definitely top 10. I think 6 mil is a good deal compared to what he could demand on the market, but of course, Giguere coming back was the most sure thing of the 3, and I also felt that having Bryzgalov made him also the most easily replaceable of the 3.

As for Bryzgalov, he is clearly the best back up in the NHL. Giguere had some big games against Detroit, but I think Ducks could have won the Cup with Bryz at the helm. He has shown his ability to perform well in the playoffs and against good competition. I feel that giving up Bryzgalov for a good forward would not be beneficial, but it all depends on what happens with Selanne and free agency.Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17896285658845291441noreply@blogger.com
