Usually, whoever won the series becomes the team that wanted it more. Has a team ever wanted it more but lost?

The 2008 Boston Bruins?Doogie2Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14703778878103452453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-51628167032232977802008-05-08T23:16:00.000-07:002008-05-08T23:16:00.000-07:00Sure, all the time. One point that the Sharks could learn from the Wings organization is how well they anticipate problems and deal with them before they really present themselves.

Case in point: how they poached Mike Babcock from the Ducks to replace Barry Smith, who was one-and-done as their head coach. Despite Smith being Scotty Bowman's protege, a long-time assistant with the Wings, and having a fairly successful record that season, they didn't waste any time replacing him with someone better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-10897286294314732262008-05-08T19:09:00.000-07:002008-05-08T19:09:00.000-07:00Has a team ever wanted it more but lost?Sure, all ...Has a team ever wanted it more but lost?

Sure, all the time.
