Between the Bulin Wall, Schneider, and the 4 years, $20 million dollar deal for Jaroslav Modry, you guys'll be fine.

Fine in the worst possible sense, of course.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03746276843496274779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-10384473269398000612008-07-03T16:08:00.000-07:002008-07-03T16:08:00.000-07:00Well, Khabi's 6.5 million+ will be a great start t...Well, Khabi's 6.5 million+ will be a great start toward that floor!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-81240458320383125112008-07-03T15:48:00.000-07:002008-07-03T15:48:00.000-07:00The Kings have to spend 12.3 million more to hit t...The Kings have to spend 12.3 million more to hit the cap floor.

Schneider! They show LA as last place in salary CAP money. But despite that, I think there were rumors (don't know if they were ever substantiated) that Colorado offered the Kings the same deal they gave Columbus for Adam Foote (a first-rounder in this year's draft), but Blake refused to waive his no-trade clause.

And this was after the rumors from 2007, when Lombardi supposedly had a deal to send Blake to San Jose for Nabokov, only Blake would waive his NTC then, either, so San Jose got to hang on to a future Vezina finalist and still wound up getting to overpay Rob Blake a year and a half later.

For all Rob Blake's talk about wanting to retire as a King and the speculation he's trying to secure a front-office job with the team in retirement, he sure does seem stunningly indifferent to the fortunes of the franchise. Sure, it could just be he has personal reasons for it, and he's within his latitude not to waive the NTC he got.

But, yes, he's screwed the Kings over more times than I can count.Alexander Dubcekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02687830440483865198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-20143507634692726202008-07-03T15:06:00.001-07:002008-07-03T15:06:00.001-07:00True, that's what they 'said'.
