So, if you ever wondered who to blame for my inclusion in BoC, it's Frolov.

Good call on the Leitch, btw.jamestobrienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16607553979777452973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-90637830056575740682008-08-16T15:44:00.000-07:002008-08-16T15:44:00.000-07:00Nice use of the "Communist Party" t-shirt!Nice use of the "Communist Party" t-shirt!Miss. Datsyuk broke through the point-per-game barrier in his 4th year in the league, but he entered the league at an older age than Frolov and has had a much better team than LA has basically had since '92-'93.

Sleek's idea that you basically shield your young players for as long as possible, letting them hone their skills on lesser competition until they can really break out, is the Wings modus operandi. It's pretty much the opposite of what the Kings (and Penguins, for that matter) have been doing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-71557795417474474082008-08-15T14:56:00.000-07:002008-08-15T14:56:00.000-07:00He's not nearly as good as Datsyuk, but they are p...He's not nearly as good as Datsyuk, but they are pretty similar. I guess Wings fans don't get on Datsyuk's case about shooting more because they win 70% of their games, as God himself intended.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-38253189859785146302008-08-15T13:20:00.000-07:002008-08-15T13:20:00.000-07:00He kinda looks like Will Leitch, doesn't he?Freaky...He kinda looks like Will Leitch, doesn't he?

Freaky, but nice call.

Alex Frolov has one claim to fame by this blogger, at least. He is the NHLer that I have stood closest to without a piece of glass between us. It was several years ago at a Kings meet-and-greet function that my boss at the time couldn't attend, and basically I just gravitated to him because I didn't want to stand in the Palffy crowd.

It wasn't that memorable, really -- his English was quite broken, but hey, it's as close as I've come to meeting a player.Earl Sleekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15843720035500316419noreply@blogger.com
