Jeeziz!!!!!
Seriously, The team needed perhaps a little more veteran leadership up FRONT. A proven playoff performer like Niedermayer. Other than that, this team is good to go for the future. I like all the young players. Burke is a genius!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-1149004380490235952006-05-30T08:53:00.000-07:002006-05-30T08:53:00.000-07:00Well, of course everyone's going for the MD swag -...Well, of course everyone's going for the MD swag -- it's about to disappear. Less than a month until the official revamping of the team's look, if I remember right.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-1148924878526752402006-05-29T10:47:00.000-07:002006-05-29T10:47:00.000-07:00who do you like amongst the kids and why? That's an...who do you like amongst the kids and why?

That's another post for another day, but it's a good blend of talent for sure.

and whither the Ducks next year - what moves would you make if you were Burke?

This I'll have to look into more. I know our top line was laughably underpaid, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Andy Mac, Selanne, Salei (UFA), or even Giguere gone.

The thing is, Burke kind of has free reign right now. He's been bold in moving big names in the past, and the kids keep delivering. We got guys like Bobby Ryan and Ladislav Smid up and coming, and Perry-Penner-Getzlaf just got sent down to play in the Portland Pirates game 7, so that's promising.

My rules are still the same as they have been the last 3 years: so long as we keep Sammy and Vishdog, everyone else is tradable (or losable).Earl Sleekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15843720035500316419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-1148923370233857552006-05-29T10:22:00.000-07:002006-05-29T10:22:00.000-07:00earl - good postwho do you like amongst the kids a...earl - good post

who do you like amongst the kids and why?

and whither the Ducks next year - what moves would you make if you were Burke?

maybe some fodder for another post? or maybe just to continue the thread.Black Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03583346651230552519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850362.post-1148919916849217542006-05-29T09:25:00.000-07:002006-05-29T09:25:00.000-07:00I was at that Game Four against Detroit back in 03...I was at that Game Four against Detroit back in 03 and you may be right about Carney being behind the damn net for possibly the only time in his career. That was my favorite moment as a Mighty Duck fan: my first playoff hockey game, watching the Ducks sweep out the Defending Cup Champion Dee-troit Red Wings.JREhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09987970396017536410noreply@blogger.com
